About LH Wong Integrative Clinic

LH Wong Integrative Clinic was founded at Joo Chiat Road by Dr Wong Lin Ho who was trained in Western and Traditional Chinese Medicine. Through his experience and knowledge with both medicines, he has resolved numerous patients with Neurological and Andrological conditions.

What makes LH Wong Integrative Clinic unique?

In the current era, most people will be on different medications due to their chronic diseases. Traditionally, TCM physicians have little exposure to the modern diseases, radiology, medications as well as their possible interaction with the TCM Medications.

At LHWIC, all patients will undergo physical examination which consists of traditional TCM’s pulse taking as well as western medical based examination of different body systems (eg. Respiratory, Neurological, Urology etc.) This allows us to give all patients a proper western medical and TCM syndromic-based diagnosis. In addition, all the medical reports brought by patients will be interpreted by our integrative medical doctor and TCM Physician, Dr. Wong Lin Ho, and explained to our physicians. We also strictly adhere to “no packages” policy as we believe that all patients should not be tied down to a particular clinic and should have the ability to seek a second opinion if necessary.

Secondly, according to the presented conditions, our doctor will refer patients to undergo necessary medical imaging or screening to our partner radiological clinics. We can also conduct our own investigations via modern technologies such as peak flow spirometry, urine dipstick test, ultrasound and electrocardiogram.

Lastly, as firm believers of evidence-based medicine, we consistently partake in researches to enhance our practice.  We strongly believe that only through proper evidence based research can we provide patients with the best care. We also strictly ensure that our treatment modalities are evidence-based, eliminating any traditional methods which have not been proven effective.

Dr. Wong was trained in Western Medicine, graduating with First Class Honours, top rank in his cohort, and appointed as a College Scholar. He subsequently underwent clinical training in Singapore’s public hospitals and completed attachments at world-renowned institutions, including Keio University Hospital in Tokyo and Queen Mary Hospital in Hong Kong.

Driven by a strong interest in integrative care, Dr. Wong pursued formal training in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and was awarded a scholarship by Guangzhou University for his academic excellence, graduating as valedictorian of his cohort. To deepen his expertise in neurodegenerative diseases, he went on to obtain a Master’s degree in Neuroscience and Neurodegeneration from the University of Sheffield, where he combined insights from both Western medicine and TCM. His outstanding performance earned him the Professor Paul Ince Prize and the Department of Neuroscience Prize for top overall student and best thesis. To date, he remains one of only three medical doctors in Singapore to have also completed a Bachelor’s degree in TCM.

Recognizing the pressing healthcare needs of Singapore’s ageing population, Dr. Wong further obtained a Postgraduate Diploma in Geriatrics with the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland (RCPI), equipping him with advanced expertise in elderly care. He is also currently pursuing a Postgraduate Certificate in Neuromodulation and Pain Management at Queen Mary University in United Kingdom, extending his knowledge in cutting-edge approaches to chronic pain and neurological disorders.

Dr. Wong’s scholarly contributions span both Western medicine and TCM, with multiple publications in international journals. He has also presented at global conferences, including the European Society of Cardiology (ESC) EuroPrevent in Lisbon, where he shared research on hypertension.

At the intersection of East and West, Dr. Wong developed the LH NeuroAcu Technique™, a novel approach to neurological disorders that maps brain–acupoint connections. This technique has been applied successfully to patients with Parkinson’s disease, stroke, multiple sclerosis, cauda equina syndrome, Guillain–Barré syndrome, and even comatose states, where it has been shown to accelerate awakening and recovery. Beyond neurology, his integrative research has led to the development of a new TCM formula for asthma and COPD, enabling patients to reduce or discontinue inhaler dependence. He is also actively involved in teaching students from both Western medicine and TCM.

In addition, Dr. Wong has combined his anatomical expertise with neuroacupuncture to address urological conditions such as erectile dysfunction, premature ejaculation, and non-bacterial prostatitis. Through the creation of a specialized “6-point neuroacupuncture” protocol, he has successfully helped many patients regain sexual function.

What is Neuroacupuncture?

Neuroacupuncture utilises the anatomical knowledge of the nervous system to target particular anatomical landmarks around the body where the nerves are located.

Through the direct targeting of peripheral and central nervous system, ie. Brain and spinal cord, it stimulates the nervous system and improves the synaptic formations, thus increasing the recovery rate.
