Are the treatments provided safe?
Absolutely. All acupuncture treatments are targeted at well established TCM and medical literature as well as anatomical landmarks, ensuring proper avoidance of any unnecessary side effects.
Medications prescribed to patients will also be based on existing pharmacological knowledge as well as TCM effects. The doctor will take into account the current medications (TCM or Western) to ensure there are no interactions between the TCM and Western medications, thus preventing any unnecessary adverse drug reactions and side effects.
Does the treatment work?
All treatments are tailored according to the dfiferent indivudal presentation signs and symptoms. Patients will then be diagnosed based on both western medical diagnosis as well as TCM syndrome based diagnosis, ensuring the highest efficacy for all treatments.
In addition, management are done based on not only the traditional acupoints but also the neuroanatomy of individual locations and areas where modern researches have been done on to further increase the efficacy.
How often do I have to do it?
Patients with different medical conditions warrants different level of intensity. In general, patients with acute medical conditions require more frequent visits while those with chronic conditions require less frequent visits.
Will I return to normal?
Most patients with acute medical conditions are able to return back to their baseline level. However, for patients with neurodegenerative conditions, treatment would be focused on the management of pre-existing conditions and reduction of the rates of deterioriation of symptoms.
